** WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT** Another workshop has sadly ended but the good news is its time to announce another! The response on these workshops have absolutely been overwhelmingly amazing! They have very quickly become one of my favorite parts of my career, I love helping people succeed in this industry. When I see an attendees face light up and say Omg Ive always wanted to know how you did that! makes it all worth it for me. I dont host thrown together workshops, actually some of my friends have said that I take these workshops TOO far. These events are not about the money for me, and when you show up and see how elaborate the shoots are you will see that for me its about learning and growing as artists together. Ive hosted workshops for over 300 attendees in the past few years and feel like a proud parent when they use what they learned from the workshop and enthusiastically write me about how they just got accepted to a top wedding blog or magazine. I have opened so many workshops but I still get emails EVERYDAY from photographers asking if I can open another one soon. So here you go! This will be 3 days long and will include 3 fully styled photo shoots. We will shoot in small groups so that every person gets all of the shots they want and instruction on posing, lighting, ect will be given throughout. There will be an engagement shoot, a bridal shoot, and a fully styled wedding. This wedding will have EVERYTHING a real wedding would have, a bridal party, cake, reception decor, elaborate dresses and much more. Why do I include a fully styled wedding? Because this is your chance to break into the non traditional market and prove to brides that you can shoot nontraditionally. I luckily was able to photograph my own wedding 3 years ago and it was a reference to non traditional brides that I could handle a wedding like theres and not just the traditional cookie cutter wedding. This workshop will also include 3 full days of non stop learning, from how I market myself to how I respond to emails to inquiry through delivery on a wedding day, literally EVERYTHING I am an open book! Well discuss how to get on a wedding blog and the importance of being published in todays industry. Well go over my contracts, pricing, and all of the business side. You will also get a copy of all of these things to take with you. Something else that is included (my favorite) is a very very detailed demonstration of exactly how I edit from start to finish while you can edit along with me. You will also receive a set of my custom foundation actions that are only available to workshop attendees and will never be for sale. Well also participate in a portfolio review where I will critique any images and help strengthen them. Another fun thing is the fact that there will be a makeup lesson on how YOU as the photographer can learn how to do your own makeup for your photo shoots! There will also be a lesson from a professional model on how to find models in your area, what models look for in a photographer, posing, and any other topics you would like to discuss! This workshop will take place in Shreveport, La and will be $1250. Half is due to reserve your seat, the other half is due 30 days before the event. The workshop will take place on May 5,6,& 7 of 2015. Registration for the workshop will open this Thursday, May 22nd at 3pm central time! I’m still trying to process the insanity of the last few days. I’m blown away by Hunter’s creativity… the setups were so elaborate. This is not a workshop where you stand around watching your instructor shoot. This was three days of non-stop shooting, editing, instruction on posing, photo make-up and business marketing. This workshop’s not just for wedding photographers either; attendees ranged from wedding to portrait, lifestyle, child and newborn photographers. There were all skill levels in attendance as well. There is always something new to learn; I wanted to improve on my styling and posing skills, and I feel like I took away a lot of new inspiration.
