WORSHIP SONG for THURSDAY - As a Follower of Jesus I have my share of uncertainties in life, like everybody. I dont know if I will enjoy the same measure of health that I have now....like everybody! I dont know if the economy will crash in a big way leaving all of us with these worthless pieces of paper called dollar bills....like everybody! I dont know if there will be a devastating terrorist attack on our country leaving possibly thousands dead or maimed.....like everybody! I dont know if the political leaders in our nation will do the right things, treat people fairly, stop raising taxes and enacting laws that are either useless or harmful to law abiding citizens....like everybody. Like everybody, I have many uncertainties and always will. But there is ONE area of my life of which I am absolutely CERTAIN and thats the fact that God will never leave me, never forsake me, never give up on me and never cause me harm. He may do or not do things that I dont understand but I know for CERTAIN that even in those things He has His glory and my best interest at heart. I KNOW that HE has prepared a place for me in heaven! I KNOW that He loves me beyond measure and always will! I KNOW that He will keep me safe and that He has a plan for me! I KNOW that I can tell others about Him and some will respond in faith to Him! I KNOW that His Word, the Bible, is true and that it provides guidance for daily living and future planning. I KNOW that the Holy Spirit of God resides in me and as the Bible says, I am HIS Temple! Life is filled with uncertainties and like everybody I have many. BUT unlike everybody, as a Follower of Jesus, I KNOW that HE will never let me down, never let me go and will never stop loving me. Im glad that in a life of uncertainties there are some things that I can KNOW!
