WOW - by Robert Aldons. I was having a day off yesterday and returning from a day out when the storm warning came through. Pea sized hail hit my car on Anzac Ave along with some marble sized, but nothing like the golf ball sized stones at Clontarf Thankfully no damage to cars at Northstar, but can’t say the same for dealers on the south side. Always feel so sorry for them. Whilst the ‘mother of all storms’ this time, I remember back to 1983 (yea, I’m that old!) when Brighton/Sandgate were smashed. Hail stones the size of cricket balls travelling horizontally through cars – absolute disaster. Why not Redcliffe? Keep an eye out for my next post – I’ve got the answer
