WOW! HOW TIME FLIES WHEN YOURE HAVING FUN... It recently dawned on me that with doing a weekly radio show and this week being my 52nd episode it means The DeX Files is now officially 1 year old. A year ago Itch FM management offered me a radio slot giving me the chance to do me. And with that instruction I set about the my mission to seek out and find the best in true school hip-hop and music with a soulful element. The type of music missing from mainstream outlets, yet equally deserving of air time. In a climate where music has become disposable we rarely take the time to give the the music we have at present the appreciation it deserves, increasingly diminishing the chance of creating modern day classics. So its only right that for todays show I revisit some of those tracks that have made the grade on The DeX Files since its inception. The quality of these discoveries at times have been surprising, even to me. But what was more surprising, overwhelming and reassuring has been the support from listeners and artists alike from all 4 corners of the globe.
