WOW!!! I COULDNT BE MORE EXCITED... I just finally got a copy of my video from the Beachbody Challenge... Watching this just brings me right back and CONFIRMS... ANYTHING is POSSIBLE! I remember that exact moment I got the call... I was driving with my family and Jax, It was Jax Birthday, May 8th! I was in COMPLETE SHOCK! I remember I kept asking them, Are you sure? Do you realized I am 51 years old? It was such an EXCITING moment in my life to think that I just submitted this G*D awful pic of me that I didnt even know existed ( If I had known, It would have been torn to shreds) for a simple T-Shirt and OMG... I was now headed to Las Vegas all expenses paid to be on stage in front of 10,000 of my peers to win $$$? Dont get me wrong... The money part is AMAZING, However, as I have always said, It wasnt about the money... In fact I havent even spent that $$$ to date, Im a saver, lol. It was and is so much more then that to me... I went from being miserable, lonely, depressed, scared, FAT & not being able to fit into any of my old blue jeans... to THIS at 51 while suffering thru menopause AND adrenal fatigue issues just to name a few. As I have said in the past NEVER in my life has something been GIVEN to me... NOTHING, NADA, ZIP... EVER!!! Growing up, we didnt have much... At 13, I got my first job at a local juice bar to pay for things I wanted... At 18, I was a cocktail waitress & then bartender in strip clubs till later in my 20s, getting married to my long time sweetheart who was the Oleo margarine heir & leaving him after 6 months with just the clothes on my back to then putting MYSELF thru school to become a nurse while still working in the bars until age 40 while working as a nurse too. As I always say... NOTHING IN LIFE IS EVER FREE, There is always a price to pay for EVERYTHING... This time again, as always... I did and still do pay a price... The price I pay is called DEDICATION and HARD WORK! And in the process, I not only learned a healthy lifestyle that I can live with... Ive managed to get ME, myself & I BETTER in so many ways.
