WOW! What an absolutely magnificent day it was for racing today... And we certainly celebrated and ended the 2013 season with a bang! Thank you everyone for the massive turnout today, despite earlier predictions of a total a wash out, it turned out to be clear skies and glorious sunshine! Over 80 people were counted trackside with over 60 dogs in attendance!! Congratulations to our 2013 winners!! Elaine Parkinson Whippet of the year and Sprint Champion - Im No Angel Distance Champion - Cut 2 the Chase Graders Choice - Magnifico Calcutta Race winner - Juddabug Puppy race 3-6mths: Lily Puppy race 6-9mths: Lola Puppy race 9-12mths: Race 1 - Nevada. Race 2 - Elle. Thank you to the committee for all their hard work in helping me make this day such a success; Phil, Carol, Tony, Marion, Deborah, Simone, Mandy, to our BBQ chefs Michael and Kevin, and Jenny for running the very busy canteen! I cannot thank you all enough for such a fantastic 2013 season, and todays turnout is proof of the fantastic support we have for this lil club of whippet racing! Plenty of photos were taken and will be edited over the coming week/s. Have a very enjoyable break, a happy and safe time over the festive season.
