WOW, what a night last night. Had a GREAT time at one of our local racetracks. Now that is what I call racing. Main event was 125 laps. Those drivers were awesome!!!! Each and every lap was hotly contested. At the local level, there are no teammates. There is no drafting or pack racing. This truly is racing in one of its purest forms. Each driver drove as if each lap counted; there was no holding back. These guys run on a shoe string. There are no professional crews; these are friends and families who work on these cars. In fact, the crew members pay their own way into the pits. These drivers work jobs during the day and they and friends and family spend long hours into the night working on the cars. And yes, out on the track, there is still the familiar sounds and smells that comes with car racing. A big big thank you goes out to everyone.
