WPUNJ Gospel Choir Alum: I have gotten word that the Gospel Choir (as a course) has been cancelled for this semester (because they say attendance is low - hmm), and there are already plans in the works to cancel it for next semester (and possibly permanently). WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND! I have conversed with Pro. B., and I am now in the process of composing a letter to the University president, and I will be ccing the Young Alumni Committee, along with contacting the Passaic County Chapter of the NAACP. We have all been members of this aggregation at some point, and we have been known as some of the greatest singers and musicians on campus that brought GOD on campus through our witness and work. We cannot allow bureaucracy and so-called budget cuts be the cause of this course to end. Its great that Pro. B. is going to continue operating the choir this semester (unpaid), but why should that be? If you all are interested in doing a concert or something (as this can be a valid way to protest), please let me know, and I will do all I can to help organize and secure a location. Blessings!
