WWE Confirms Superstar Release, First Post-WWE Match Announced Following reports that Justin Gabriel quit WWE over the weekend, WWE announced Sunday that he has been released from his contract. WWE issued the following statement to F4WOnline today confirming the release of Gabriel: “WWE has come to terms on the release Justin Gabriel effective as of today.” To add to the statement, Gabriel’s profile on WWE now resides in the Alumni section. Gabriel already has plans to continue his wrestling career on the independent circuit as “The Darewolf” PJ Black. Pro Wrestling Syndicate announced Sunday the acquisition of the South African native, who is scheduled for a show on Saturday.
