Waiting to be good only when elected? A close look on the political map of PDP in Ebonyi shows that the major tribe in Ebonyi – the Izzi and Ezza are alienated in the scheme of things. When we hit the nail at the head, we get abuses and insults but it won’t stop us from saying the truth. Umahi and his group are yet to explain their reasons behind the deliberate political alienation. While Umahi waits to become a saint as soon as he is elected into office as a governor, when he would transform Ebonyi state to Eastern Dubai of Nigeria, one would ask, at what or which pedestal is he coming from? Is it not the same Umahi who has been part and parcel of Elechi’s administration? Contributed in the obnoxious policies and its execution? There are rumours in some quarters that Umahi and Elechi deliberately caused the cacophony in the polity so as to cash into it. Recall that Elechi was quoted in an interview that there are two persons he would not want to hand over to and Umahi is not one of them. Therefore, since Umahi is part of the injury inflicted on Ebonyians over the past few years, he has no reason to talk about ruling the state having failed as a deputy governor. Umahi’s political arrangement to estrange the Ezzas and Izzis points to the fact and he is going to run and exclusive government if elected, where only his kinsmen and few selected friends from Ikwo will own the government similar to Elechi’s style which further proves that Umahi is Elechi’s agent waiting to be elected to carry out Elechi’s evil agenda.
