Walking home from dinner tonight in downtown Elgin someone was broadcasting some beautiful, other worldly Kora music. Obviously it was played on a very nice sound system as it was extremely loud and crystalline. The last I heard the Kora was in New Orleans over Christmas with Mara Diamond Kolter. This instrument speaks to me through time and through the ages ... instantly I am transported. Also in a beautiful meeting of time and space I bumped into my friend Yolanda Lozano earlier. She was finishing an event and we chatted in the cool Fall air. She and I are performing together at The Flowering Heart Center - Downers Grove, IL later this week - a wonderful Spirit filled coincidence for certain.
