Wallys World Dilemma File: So Im part of this singer/songwriter thing on Friday night right but I hardly consider myself a songwriter and Lord knows I should be working with Patrick Cunningham on learning to sing and I pull out one of the songs I figure Ill do and listen to it as I practice it and find myself thinking, Damn, I like that. There is a songwriter who I admire greatly and call friend who once told someone else with me standing there that he thought I am a better songwriter than him. Ive never forgotten that. The thing is I dont write songs anymore and havent for a very long time. Truth is it was almost too easy at one point in time when all I had to do is just wait and the heavens would literally open up and I couldnt write fast enough. And then it all stopped. So Ive got three songs picked out, one I will do occasionally at the campfires, a second that was a very dear friend of mines favorite song and the only song Ive ever written that is recorded and then a third song that is about the most recent song Ive written titled Sometimes Angels Fall which I so like because of how it came about and the fact that given the proper motivation I found I could still write even if the heavens didnt open up.
