I recently started a crowdfunding campaign for my next album Fight Your Fears. What is crowdfunding? Crowdfunding is as the name says, a funding by a crowd, so by many people. In order for me to properly do my second album, I need us to collect 8.000 € until 9th of February, so that I can release the album on 10th of April in all digital stores and on CD (!). How do we collect a funding of 8.000 €? You can go to my PledgeMusic campaign and pre-order the album, buy exclusive album T-shirts, get a special thank-you-mention in the album booklet or even buy more special things like picking your album up at my place and letting me cook a dinner for you and a friend (I can do paleo, low carb, low fat, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, omnivore etc., Im a food freak) or showing you around in Berlin for a whole day and showing you the places that inspired me for my album production. Once you have pledged you will have access to my exclusive updates: You will be the first to hear previews of the album tracks, you will be the first one to see the cover of the album and you will see the tracklist as the first person! Why do I need 8.000 €? 8.000 € covers the minimum costs in order to proced with the album production. Heres a detailed table: 15% PledgeMusic fee = 1.200 € 19% German VAT = 1.085.71 € Album manufacturing of 1.000 CDs (incl. German GEMA fees) = 1.500 € approximately Album design = 750 € Marketing costs (Sunshine Live radio spot & banner 1.500,00 €, LessThan3 banner and editorial 500,00 €, YouTube trailer design 500,00 €, radio spot production 250,00 €, Facebook + YouTube + Google Ads 500,00 €, 750,00 € PR company) Excluded are advances for singers and costs for studio musicians and the mastering. If we reach a bigger funding than 9.500 €, I will go for a professional mastering at amstermastering (1.500,00 € for the whole album). If we go even higher I will spend some money on studio musicians and get some of the instruments recorded by real musicians (instead of playing them from a sampler). What happens if we do not reach the goal of 8.000 € until 9th of February? I will cancel the album production and wont release my second artist album for now due to too little public interest.
