Radar in Paradise Radar will always hold a special place in your hearts And when you lost him you felt torn apart Radar was special from the moment you brought him home He knew he was safe, loved and would always stay warm Radar knew he was destined for something better than racing He would bring joy and love to those whose lives time was chasing The Berner home was where his life was really the winning place With all his foster brothers and sisters he had lots to teach instead of race But we know he will never be forgotten By the hundreds of lives he changed and made better for the downtrodden For we all know that one day, Radar will greet us in his own way He’s up in paradise painting his fine paw print works of art, We were all so blessed to have known this special dog with such a heart For when God decides upon our time, Radar will be the first in our welcoming line For even though your family is heartsick about his life’s end He is in paradise comforting those whose lives we knew and with whom he made great friends -Melissa Spoon 07/2014
