#WantedWednesday suspect Bonnie Stauffer caught in the act of committing a crime! TAMPERING WITH AUTO ARRESTS PASADENA On August 14, 2014, officers from the Eastern District were dispatched to the unit block of Magothy Beach Road in Pasadena for a tampering with auto call. Officers were advised that the witness observed two individuals, a black male and a white female, attempting to gain access into a burgundy truck with a slim jim”. The suspects apparently were unable to get into the vehicle and left the area. The witness followed the suspect vehicle, a white GMC Sonoma, towards Severna Park. Eastern District Detectives were familiar with the vehicle because it had been a suspect vehicle in previous incidents. Officers eventually stopped the vehicle on a traffic stop. They immediately recognized Bonnie Marie Stauffer as the passenger. Stauffer had recently been profiled by the Anne Arundel County Police Department for #WantedWednesday. Investigation revealed that Stauffer had eight (8) open warrants. One of the warrants was in Fairfax County, Virginia, for credit card theft, one warrant in Howard County for rogue and vagabond and credit card theft and five warrants in Anne Arundel County for theft-related charges. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ben Brown, Jr. He was found to have an open warrant for a traffic-related charge from Calvert County. Investigation revealed the suspects failed to gain entry into the vehicle. The slim jim used in the attempt was left in the vehicle. The witness positively identified the suspects as the two suspects who were attempting to enter the vehicle. During the search incident to arrest, detectives located a slim jim and several credit cards that did not belong to either of the occupants. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the district station, where they were charged with rogue and vagabond and served on their outstanding warrants.
