Warehouse Supervisor Basrah, Iraq PAE Job Description Job ID: 2013-6216 The Warehouse Supervisor will be primarily based in Basrah, Iraq, and serve the Life Support Services contract in support of the State Department and will report to the Logistics Manager. The additional duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive: Responsibilities: Manages the warehouse facilities which involve planning and directing the shipment, receipt, storage and issuance of materials and equipment Confers with Supply Manager on the stock levels of supplies that need replenishing Ensure Requisitions authorized/processed by Purchasing are accurately issued to the end user Supervises and directs warehouse staff as required Conducting periodic physical inventory of stocked items Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress Overseeing stock control and processing orders Carrying out responsibilities for the use of automated and computerized systems Responds to and dealing with customer communication by email or telephone Keeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Briefing team leaders on the issues for that particular day Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment Performing additional other tasks as maybe directed by the Logistics Manager Qualifications: Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required Education: A high school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) Experience: At least 3 years as a Warehouse Manager managing high volume and high dollar value goods Computer literacy especially in MS Word and MS Excel Ability to work long hours with no supervision Home of Record Driver’s License – no restrictions Knowledge and experience in storage operations, shipping and receiving procedures, and inventory control Interpret shipping documents, invoices, packing slips, and computer generated ordering and inventory documents; must be able to maintain accurate records Demonstrated skill in the safe operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment associated with warehouse tasks Must possess excellent inter-personal skills to allow individual to work successfully as a team member with a wide variety of personnel Lift heavy objects Supervise and train other junior members of the Warehousing team Operate independently in austere environment for protracted periods and willing to transfer to other missions as required The incumbent must have superior customer service and interpersonal skills, must adapt easily to foreign cultures, and be able to communicate effectively in environments where English is not the primary language Security Vetting: Must possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) security clearance, maintaining eligibility for the duration of the contract Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination Language Skills: Expert professional, oral and written English communication skills, to present, facilitate and disseminate information Work Ethic: Commitment to maintaining a high performance team which delivers customer service excellence DESIRED: Department of State experience One (1) year of international experience in challenging locations, preferably working in the Middle East, with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences Possess, or ability to obtain, Forklift Certification Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports Exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change Valid drivers license from country of origin : your-poc/jobs/warehouse-supervisor-2/#sthash.UD3186T6.dpuf
