Warhawks Dominate SSAC Men’s Soccer Postseason Awards Mens Soccer - Thu. Nov. 14, 2013 MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- Highlighted by senior defender Taian Souza being named the Defensive Player of the Year and sophomore forward Alan Harwell being selected Newcomer of the Year, 11 Auburn Montgomery mens soccer players earned postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference, the league announced at its postseason awards banquet Wednesday evening Souza and Harwell were two of five Warhawks to earn SSAC First-Team In his first season with the Warhawks, Harwell is one of only two players to start all 19 games. The Montgomery native has answered with a team-leading 12 goals and seven assists, while tallying a team-best 31 points. He ranks tied for second on the team with 48 shots and second with 28 on goal. He has scored multiple goals in two games, including a two-goal, five-point effort against defending national champion Belhaven in AUMs regular-season finale.
