//Warning: Blangst. Wrote this selfpara last night, so I can spice things up a bit, and so itll make sense why Blaine disappears for a week. Enjoy...? The phone on Blaines nightstand rang again for what seems like the twentieth time that night. Blaine figured that he can only keep on putting this out for so long. He has to answer the call sooner or later. Blaine grumbled as his head was buried under his pillow, the sound of frustration slightly muffled, but still audible nonetheless. He blindly groped around for his phone, and finally opened his eyes once he got hold of it, its bright screen temporarily clearing out the blur in his newly acquired vision. Its his dad. Of course. Blaine sighed softly and answered the phone with a trembling hand. H-hey, dad.... Blaine began tiredly. Oh, Im fine... I was just... I was asleep, I couldnt answer your calls earlier, Blaine blanched a little at this. It wasnt totally a lie, he really was asleep. But then again, he actually knew it was his dad who was calling, so he tried to ignore it in his sleep, but as always, his dad wouldnt let him go. I... what...? Blaine gripped the phone tighter as he began to sit up on his bed. D-Dad... Y-you cant be serious... Blaine froze. He felt like his heart stopped beating. Why are you looking there, anyway...? B-but dad, thats my room...! Blaine tried to counter, his voice raising just a little bit out of frustration. His dad apparently just found his stash of his pictures with Kurt in his room. I-I know, its your house, but dad-.... Blaine tried to defend himself, but his dad is not having any of it. Blaines voice turned submissive at this point, to let his dad know hes still in authority. Y-yes dad, hes my boyfriend, but-.... Blaine finally admitted his relationship with Kurt, which he had been hiding from his parents for so long. I know, I know, youve told me that story a million times... Blaine pinched the bridge of his nose as he shut his eyes. N-no! Please... Please, dad, no... Blaine practically begged, his voice cracking, as his dad threatened to take away all his things if he doesnt change his act. Y-yes, I get it... valedictorian... n-no goofing around.... Blaine promised. Its too much pressure, but he sure wont be distracted. Cant you just....? W-what?! Tomorrow?! D-dad! Blaines grip on his phone turned vice-like as he felt himself begin to sweat. Y-yes, no buts... y-yes... yessir.... Blaine winced as he finally murmured the words in surrender. He knows he cant win this. Blaine hung up immediately as his dad ended the call. He swore in frustration as his lower lip trembled and his fists clenched, his tears threatening to fall. Blaine limply let his phone land on the bed next to him, as he hugged Kurt-bear (Kurts valentine gift to him) to his chest. He inhaled deeply. Thankfully it still smells like Kurt. Blaine didnt want to ruin it, so he buried his head on a pillow to muffle his cries as he slowly, softly, let the tears out. For the first time ever, he doesnt know what to do. Blaine clutched Kurt- bear tight as the thoughts ran around in his head. One thing is for certain, though. He cant ever, ever break Kurts heart. He will /not/ break up with him just because his dad threatened him to. Blaine is obviously stepping on eggshells right now, but hell be sure he wont get sidetracked. Hell prove his dad wrong. Hell prove Kurt that hes worth the fight, even if that means nearly getting kicked out of his own house. Hell prove himself that he can do it. Hell prove to his friends that hell be okay. Just... as always, all it takes, is his mask. Just hold it in, put on that smile, and just wait awhile. // In case you were interested, this is my Blaine headcanon. This is how my Blaine really is on the inside, this is what hes hiding under that smile, that energy, that mask... Hes a tortured perfect soul, a poor, broken boy made to think that he /has/ to hide.
