***Warning*** This post contains a foul word. Its still funny, however; and, Ive disguised the bad word to the best of my ability. Ive never been certain why it is so funny when a person who just about never uses a foul word does, nonetheless . . . You have been warned. ;0) Oh, and, this would definitely be a Benism! A long time ago, when Ben was about 8, he used to look forward, with great enthusiasm, to getting the latest Disney release on DVD. Im telling you, he longed for those Tuesdays when we could go to the video or Disney store (I did say that it was a long time ago) to add to his collection, the latest film. I dont remember which film it was, nor do I remember what naughty thing Ben had done; but, I very much remember that it was on a Tuesday morning of a Disney scheduled release, that Ben got into trouble. I warned him over and over; but, he just couldnt make himself behave. I had to do the unthinkable and punish him by not allowing him to get the movie (oh, quit thinking poorly of me, I would have given in by the end of the week . . . probably). Ben was so tiny then, and I loaded him into his very tiny wheelchair, as we went out to wait for the bus. Ben was in a delightful mood about 99% of the time . . . except for this day. He cried hysterically, shedding the biggest tears you can imagine as he wasnt going to get his precious movie :0( The bus pulls up, the driver gets out to load Ben; and, he is absolutely astonished that Ben is so upset. The bus driver, full of concern, asks, Ben, what is wrong, big guy? Ive never seen you like this! Ben immediately stops the waterworks, turns to the driver and viciously (think Linda Blair in the Exorcist) responds, Shut up, you a$$#*le! I dont know who was more stunned, me or the busdriver; but, we both laughed our heads off. Perhaps you had to be there - I know we have laughed many times recalling this out-of-character moment. I cant believe it has been 5 months today. I miss you, my sweet, little guy!
