Warning: long and dramatic. Everyone has something that takes them to a safe place, moves them, inspires them, alters their moods. For most it is music and I am no exception. I will listen to mostly anything and everything with very few exceptions. I have music to lift me up, music that cries with me, music that makes me want to put my pen to paper, music that makes me see images in my head that I feel compelled to draw or paint, music to me, is everything. Every once in a while a song comes along that I dont necessarily LOVE, but the lyrics strike home to some degree. Storyline by Hunter Hayes is one of them. There have been a lot of people quick to judge and condemn me for the choices I have made both recently and many months ago. That is fine, you are entitled to your own opinion. But if you dont have my side of the story, you dont have the entire thing. You are being judgmental and unfair. Its been difficult seeing people glare at me without them knowing what exactly happened, especially living in a small town where you know every bloody person you see every day, and they know everyone else too. Shortly after my previous relationship ended, I heard a lot of rumours - I was being called names, I was a cheater, this, that... None of it true, though I myself labelled myself with a lot of the names and was drowning in guilt for a long time. This song is relevant to where I am right now. Because I realized very recently, that its MY life. I will make the choices that make me happy and maybe it wont make everyone else happy, but yknow what? Because I am a good person, I will CONTINUE to think of others too, not just myself - what I learned back in April though is that I DO matter and I have a right to my own happiness. If there is anyone in my life (or Facebook) who is unhappy that I am happy, or makes a habit of judging my choices, feel free to pack your bags and exit my life.
