Warriors BB Newsletter Vol. 23 No. 1 6-0 Sophomore Guard Kenny Berry collected several awards last evening at the Winter Awards Night. Berry was a unanimous selection for 3rd Team All-Southwestern Conference as well as team leader in scoring and assists. He was also the recipient of the Cameron VanBuskirk and Andy Sullivan Awards. Berry will represent the Warriors this coming Friday in East Moline, Illinois at the Country Companies/I.H.S.A. Three Point Contest. He will be competing for one of four spots to represent the East Moline Sectional teams in Peoria, Illinois at the 4A I.H.S.A. State Tournament. The Basketball Warriors have currently begun their 12 week spring weight lifting and shooting intramural programs. Warrior Basketball in Review Spotlight is on Justin Ike. Ike played three years for the Warriors and led the “Tribe” to eleven (11) wins in 2010. The Warriors started off by capturing the Nokomis Thanksgiving Tournament Championship on a 37 foot runner... jump shot by Justin Ike! Ike later led his team to a 12 point victory over the Edwardsville Tigers on the road with a double-double (12 points/11 assists). Thank you Justin Ike for being a “true” Warrior!
