Was another great Australia Day weekend with our excursion to Black Horse Creek. I was mad keen to get away and Ralphie was pretty keen on seeing as much of the Scenic Rim country as we could so we took our time on the drive. Scenery really was fantastic - so much raw and untouched rainforest through the ranges. Pete was in good spirits when we got there in the end and a jolly good time was had - well till about 2:30 when we eventually faded. Left early and got back about 10 on Sunday. Went down RSL on Sunday night thinking no one around and a couple of quiet beers and ended up with some middle aged trollop in my ear backstabbing someone else I know for allegedly out-skanking her or something equally sordid, Knew I was back in Woodridge. In some ways amusing to listen to - I imagine myself in a high school playground - all thats missing is the school uniforms, definitely no progression from grade nine on development honesty and integrity. Three years to retirement and I will definitely start to write. Just living here for 13 years Ive got enough to but the TV show Shameless of the air. Though that could be the end of me destroying my ulterior ego Frank Gallagher.
