Was feeling exhausted and stressed on a crowded train when the person to my left asked about the book I was reading. Three more people joined in, and our conversation moved from how much the NYPL rocks, to our favorite used bookstores and oddly enough, the Salem Witch Trials. Three of us missed our stops! The fact that we were four perfect strangers from very different walks of life shouted various forms of "have a nice day!" at each other as we rushed out onto the subway platform is a moment I really needed.
