Was having a sorta hard morning after speaking with one of our guys about his son who is struggling with gang pressures. After I got off the phone I just sobbed. Walked around my beautiful home looking for some inspiration. I laid my eyes upon this lovely box of creativity. Jim Dustin carved it for me 12 years ago. It is one of the objects I hold dearest from my time at Citibank. I sat with it, held it, read some of the quotes, remembered the greatness of the team and each individual whose spirit is captured. I just let the sadness wash away with the tears as I felt such a gratitude for all the amazing people that have been placed in my life that I get to learn from. The young man who is struggling is wanting to be part of something, to be loved, to be valued. I pledge that today I will work to create solutions that help generations of men work together.
