Was in Iloilo City yesterday and today to observe what was done to rehabilitate the Iloilo River. I was with some Naga City Officials - Councilors Babet Lavadia, Jose Tuazon and Chito Perez; City Planning and Development Office Head Wilfredo Briñas Prilles Jr. and Metro Naga Development Council Executive Director Sieg B. Bulaong. We went upon the invitation of Senator and Mrs Frank Drilon and we are glad that we did because they proved to us that nothing is impossible with focus and political will. Aside from its people, the heart and soul of our beloved Naga City is the Naga River and there is a need to rehabilitate it already. It was Jesses dream when he was still Mayor but he had very little support from the National Government and it was impossible to fund it solely from local resources. Hopefully, this time, we will be able to move foreward.
