Was making my 5th delivery today from downtown STL out to the Chesterfield valley when the car started running rough. The CHECK ENGINE light came on and flashed a few times, then went out. Everything seemed fine. Then it happened again and I started losing power. I coaxed it into the drop point off of Chesterfield Industrial Blvd., made my drop, then used their phone to call AAA. The truck showed up about an hour later, right at the end of the quoted wait-time. That was at about 1115. I guess he dropped me and the car at Dobbs about quarter to noon. I sat there dreading it. A new transmission would have been bad enough, but a new engine would be even worse. Instead, they tell me it looks like water got into something. BIG RELIEF!!!! Im now home, the car is still there being gone over to find out exactly where the intrusion happened so it can be sealed. Cut my day short, but its been a good week. Could have been much worse.
