Was out last night watching two hummers that were visiting. One was a very aggressive, territorial male. After he would have a sip, he would sit on top of the sheperds hook and wait for the female to return just to chase her away. There was a lot of aerial ballet going on. She eventually got a few sips when he wasnt around. Cut to today, a very wet rainy day, and I notice the female taking a sip. She is drenched. I was so excited to see her that at first I didnt notice the male, standing guard. :-)
