Was reminiscing with wife- First paper route at 9 years old was Independent (think it was 2 days a week (delivered to everyone) think it was considered throwaway paper- no collecting as I recall (made its money strictly off ads)- then Ledger at about 10 (2 days a week)-made about $35 a month larger area and had to do collections once a month- then Mirror news at about 12 years until 15(think 6 days a week ) but also had to do collections and did yard jobs on Saturday mornings- Quit at 15 and went to work at Dominicks and worked with Dad when he was doing tile setting or other fireman with various side construction jobs- actually fond memories- always had some money but not much social life per say
