Watched Evocateur the documentary about Morton Downey Jr. and loved it. I remember being a young kid and becoming familiar with Morton during his Wrestlemania 5 Pipers Pit segment with Rowdy Roddy Piper. The Morton Downey Jr. show was the most provocative talk show and years ahead of its time. My mother worked at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus, which was right next to the WWOR studios where the show was taped. I remember going to work with her a few times and seeing audience members actually tailgating in the parking lot before the tapings began. This documentary covers Mortons meteoric rise to television superstardom, and his fall from grace, all of which took place within 2 years. I definitely recommend this film for any Morton Downey Jr. fans, or for anyone who wants to learn about a fearless and controversial larger than life character. I wish we had someone like him on TV nowadays!
