Watching CBS Sunday Morning, a weekend ritual for me if Im home. Today its solo topic is the Kennedy assassination with further coverage on Meet the Nation. To younger folks its a few pages in a history book. To those of us who lived through it, it was a moment that changed our lives forever. I was a college sophomore in a Fall class, football weather. I stepped out of a school building and saw people surrounding a car at the curb, Frank OLaughlins Alfa Romeo. I went over to see what it was all about. They were listening to the car radio, cranked up so everyone could hear. The news ripped through the campus. School was cancelled. I traveled home to NYC and like most of the rest of Americans, I watched the Jack Ruby shot live on tv during the Walter Cronkite broadcast. Johnson became President, the course of History jumped the tracks forever.
