Watching an oprah interview and she said something so true.... When you deal with people that arent happy with their life, you will find its hard for them to be happy for your happiness. Ive always been one to encourage my friends and family, to want to see them do better, get better, be better. I know sometimes I come off as strict or expecting too much out of them but its because I see the potential in them to be and have more than they see for themselves. The people Im the closest to, or trust the most arent Yes people, they love me, they encourage me, and continue to express how happy they are for me and how proud they are of me but theyre honest with me. They let me know when Im slipping, encourage me when I feel too weak to go on, and remind me of who I am, what Im capable of, and what they expect from me when I start getting off track! They dont want to see me fail, they arent trying to encourage me to do what will make me fit in, they are genuinely happy for my happiness, and have no desire to see me fail in any way, shape, or form. I appreciate that kind of love and I hope the people around me understand when I give them that kind of love. I know I wouldnt be or have half of what I have or half of what I am had I not had those people guiding me! Im 26 years old with a awesome husband, good family, a great relationship with my in laws,a beautiful smart baby girl, a growing business, and a lot of love and support. I didnt get here by myself. I didnt get here doing what I thought was cool. I didnt get here by rejoicing in other peoples mistakes or encouraging people to make bad decisions so I can be happy when their life is worse than mine. Surround yourself with people that want to be happy for you, that are happy for you, people that no matter whats going on in their life, they can find a reason to smile for you, someone that wants to see you go higher, even if they are at a standstill right now!
