Watching everything transpire over the Weekend Ive sadly come to the conclusion that we are a Nation with an insatiable thirst for division and controversy. My heart breaks for the family who lost their child. I dont care if he was 18, hes still someones baby...black, white and every color in between. That being said, NOTHING that any of us do will bring him back. Was it a justified shoot? I dont have any idea. You couldnt pay me to be in law enforcement and I will STRONGLY request that none of my boys consider it. What I do know is that Al Sharpton, is a race baiter. The worst of them. Id also include Jesse Jackson and President Obama along with Eric Holder. As a nation, we DONT need this. We also dont need a journalist making himself a part of the story as CNNs Don Lemmon did by telling the family on a national newscast to get in touch with him personally if they every need anything. Where is this outrage when there is black on black crime tearing apart our inner city? Chicago is a war zone right now in its rate of black homicides, as are many of our cities. There is rampant police corruption. And if this was not a justified shoot, the officer needs to have the book thrown at him. But I thought that we were a Nation of laws? This whole matter needs played out in the courts, not on National tv. We are the ONLY industrialized Country with the right to sue; which in essence means that anybody can sue anybody without fear of paying the legal fees of both sides if your case does not win. This is why our Court System is bombarded with cases. Why dont we work on whats broke first, try to fix it and come together as a colorless Nation. We ALL look the same on the inside. But as long as the race baiters keep getting exposure, itll NEVER happen...
