Watching my Facebook feed and then watching the evening news is - TopicsExpress

Watching my Facebook feed and then watching the evening news is enough to make anyone want to lock their doors, draw the blinds and hide out with their closest family and loved ones. Mercy- this world. Just when I feel that I want to raise the white flag and give up He directs me to His word (despite the fact that it is sometimes the last place my mind wanders to) and brings complete peace to my soul. Tonight, as I am feeding this sweet baby I realize she only knows how to do one thing- trust. She trusts me to take care of everything. She trusts that I will be there when she begins to cry, when she is hungry, when she hurts, when she is just tired and needs to rest her head- the list goes on but you get the picture. She trusts that without any fear or question I will be there. We are given this same comfort if we would only just do it and not overthink the messed up patterns of this world (Romans 12:2 ). Psalm 62:5-8 speaks to my weary soul soul today: 5 My soul quietly waits for the True God alone because I hope only in Him. 6 He alone is my rock and deliverance, my citadel high on a hill; I will not be shaken. 7 My salvation and my significance depend ultimately on God; the core of my strength, my shelter, is in the True God. 8 Have faith in Him in all circumstances, dear people. Open up your heart to Him; the True God shelters us in His arms. Selah (which means rest) Deep breath in- and out. Thank you,God, for the beautiful reminders... Even when you choose to give them at 2:45 in the morning;0).
