President Barack Obama made history last week when he recognized people of “no faith” and specifically included “atheists and agnostics” in his Presidential Proclamation on Religious Freedom Day. This was the first time that non-believers have been acknowledged in more than 200 years of Presidential proclamations. Religiously unaffiliated Americans now make up approximately 20% of the US population, and that number continues to rise each year. Tonight is our chance to be heard and remind the White House that America is for people of all faiths and none.
