Watching the person you love in pain is difficult. Especially if you understand that pain and know first hand exactly what it feels like. They say you only get one Mother, this is true. But a Mother in law is hard to lose if you love her. I loved mine and she passed away yesterday. It was all that I could do to hold on to some composure, to be able to help Frannie Meiisgoinghard Sloan through the worst pain in the world. We got through yesterday, we will get through the rest of it. Together. Those of us who are without our Moms are all related through the pain of loss. A pain that we would not wish on even our worst enemy. But we go on. Because Mommy said we must. I am here for you and your sibling. Not a shoulder to cry on. But. A broken heart to cry with. I have learned to find peace in the fact that She watches over me and protects me. That all of the wonderful things my Mother IS, is alive and well. I still feel Her love and warmth and guidance CLEARLY and unmistakably. She lives inside of me. Your Mom has simply abandoned ill body to reside inside of you for eternity. I love all of you crazy Sloans!
