Way out of Yorkshire over the last couple of days, in Scotland in the Ben Lawers area looking at montane willows on some crags on the lower slopes of Meall Corranaich. 1. View of the Reservoir below, 2 & 3. some useless pics of the flowers of Alpine Meadow Rue (Thalictrum alpinum) for Michael Foley, 4. very late season flower of Purple Saxifrage (Saxifraga oppositifolia), 5. Moss Campion (Silene acaulis) all over the cliffs, 6. Lots of the rare Hair Sedge (Carex capillaris) 7. Some Heath Spotted Orchids on the way up the hill, 8 & 9. some shoots nearly flowering of Alpine Mouse-ear (Cerastium alpinum) and 10 & 11. Bog Bilberry (Vaccinium uliginosum) almost in flower on the edges of the ledges, 12. General view of one of the crags with Holly Fern and Net-leaved Willow.
