Ways in which mold can be prevented in YOUR home: (From A Pro Home Inspections) -Clean and repair your roof gutters on a regular basis -Be sure the ground slopes away from the building, in order to avoid any water collection around the foundation. -Keep indoor humidity low (below 60%) using air conditoners or de-humidifiers -Vent appliances, use exhaust fans, and run bathroom fans whenever necessary (i.e. when operating showers or dishwashers) -Increase ventilation or air movement by opening doors and/or windows. Be ESPECIALLY mindful of proper ventilation in critical areas such as crawl spaces, attics, and basements.
