We all are on a sinking ship without Christ. Once we find the - TopicsExpress

We all are on a sinking ship without Christ. Once we find the safety of His vessel, we need to think about the course of our lives. If in my example, we were on a ship going to England and the ship that we found safety in was going to France. We wouldnt argue,“I don’t want to go to France” if the only other choice was the bottom of the ocean! I know this sounds “silly”because our rescuer in my illustration would be sure to help us reach our destination, if they were truly a decent savior. But our destination without Christ is eventual death and eternal separation from the Living God. If in my illustration we were headed to England to work in some factory or labor on a farm and instead our savior were to say to us “come rule with me in my palace”,is there really a choice? Especially when our destination in England turned out really for us to be chained up in some kind of slave labor camp. Do you see the message? We have been redeemed by the King. Now He tells us,“come work in my vineyard and when we are done, share my throne with me in my heavenly kingdom that never ends!”
