We all go through this life wondering and wandering. What is - TopicsExpress

We all go through this life wondering and wandering. What is around the next bend? What will tomorrow bring? Today I lost one of the truest, purest friends I ever had the pleasure of knowing. We lost touch through the years. She married and moved to Flushing and I stayed here in the big city. Each time we met up or ran into one another we started the conversation just where we left off. It would be impossible for me to count up how many miles of dirt road me, you and Sheila Turner traveled in high school. We were joined by Susie McClure and Tina Lashley to name a few. How many bottles of Boones Farm, Annie Green Springs, cans of Miller High Life did we share? Too many to count! How many parties did we attend? How many dances? Oh my!! The times we had. As we got older we still traveled the dirt roads. Still bent our elbows. Still had tons of fun. Who else could go to a family reunion at Gladyss and not be related to a single person!!! Who else could carry 6 or 7 dozen eggs to the reunion and only crack 2 eggs!! How many conversations did me, you and Barbara have at the old brick house!!! The memories will live on and on and on and on. Yes, Dody Shilling Greenwood, I will cherish all those times. I promise I will think fondly of those days gone by. You were so surprised to see me walk in your hospital room a few weeks ago. Like I said....the conversation started right where we left off. You fought the good fight. You withstood the test. I will forever and always be blessed to call you my friend. Rest In Peace. Jean
