We all have our moments of insecurity; mine started as a young child from the words of an abusive step father. If we hear that we are no good, that well never amount to anything, that we are no better than the trash at the curb. We begin to believe it ... Then I learn about God .. My true Father. I heard much about God, but it took many years for me to get to know God. To accept Him into my life .. to learn to trust Him .. to learn to have faith in Him .. to turn my life over to Him. Then, and only then, did I let loose of my insecurities. To come to realize that I am a cherished child of the Most High. That God loved me & you so much, that He even knows how many hairs are on our heads. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Matthew 10:30 Does God really care if my football team wins? Does it really matter to Him if I am offered that new job? Does He really mind how I spend that twenty dollars? Sometimes, we wonder if an all-knowing, all-powerful God actually concerns Himself with the minutiae of our everyday lives. Why should I bother Him with the petty details? He must be busy with more important things than me. The Bible tells us, though, that the Lord attends to us so closely that He even know the number of hairs on our heads. Talk about little details! He created us with love. Even though we continue to sin and not show Him love in return, He cherishes us as His own dear children. We are so valuable to our God that He sent His only-begotten Son to die for us, so that He could make us His forever. Our Lord knows how our days weave together to make the tapestry of our lives. He knows our needs and the cares that weigh on our hearts. We can pray to Him, no matter how small or large the concern may seem, certain in the promise of His loving attention. The Lord may not answer in the way we wish, but we can trust that in His wisdom and love, He listens and answers in the way that is best for us. Heavenly Father, thank You that You are mindful of me! Amen.
