We all have such abundant treasures that were deposited within us - TopicsExpress

We all have such abundant treasures that were deposited within us through the blood of Jesus. God did not provide all of these treasures for us to walk around defeated. They were given to us for victory over our enemy. It takes work and commitment to draw them out to be manifested in your life. 2 Peter 1:3 seeing that his divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and excellence. For by these he has granted to us his precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in this world by lust. The key to treasures within us is the fear of The Lord. Now that does not mean to be scared of God! It means to be full of reverence and respect for God to the point that it leads you to want to be obedient. You finally realize his power and love for all mankind. When you truly fear the Lord you wont want to do anything to displease him. I have always related it to the fear of losing him. Now that I have come to know God through an intimate relationship with him, I literally fear not having him with me constantly. I have become so dependent upon his presence that my life would be empty and void of all joy without him. Before I truly knew God, I functioned in fear. I had a fear of loss which I assume is because everything I had always treasured is what I ended up losing eventually. I had grown so used to losing the things that gave me security, it left me expecting the worse. I spoke out of my mouth what I expected, and it would eventually happen. So this is why I have become so dependent upon God. He was always there, and always will be. I finally found someone who I can count on no matter what. Therefore out of love, all I want to do is what pleases him. God is my security. God is my strength. God is my all in all. I never want to feel like he is far away ever again. These scriptures are only a few that describe what pleases God. Hebrews 11:6-Faith, Hebrews12:28-accepting Gods grace, Romans 8:8- walking in the spirit, 1 Corinthians 1:21 sharing the truth, 1Corinthians 12:18, 1 Peter 1:17,Col 1:10, 1Thes2;4. Being in the fear of The Lord is out of respect and reverence and trembling in complete awe of who God is, not scared he will strike you down dead because you are a bad person.
