We also have an Election coming up shortly at The Harbours....I will continue to say that defeating the proposed Amendments was a wise decision for the members. We are a very small community....we are very fortunate to have so many people willing to volunteer their services....some Communities struggle with that...we need to keep the window of opportunity to become a candidate for our Board Elections as wide open as possible....Notice of the Annual Meeting and voting AT the Annual Meeting is clearly spelled out in our By-Laws....plain and simple...it became complicated and convoluted for a reason...just stick with the basics and over time it should be a very simple, cost effective, and smooth transition every single year. I believe one of our biggest downfalls is lack of opportunities for building Community Spirit...We are a non-profit and basically take care of all our needs with our own money....we get very little in return from the City of Jeffersonville for our Property Tax Dollars....and we are the only Business on Riverside Drive (that I know of) that contributes our non-profit money to the annual Thunder Funder.....I believe we should leave that up to the ones making money off of the event...we spend enough just to keep relatively safe from the crowds surrounding us that day. Being a contributor to Thunder Funder brings certain perks...but who gets those perks? I would rather see a Crusade for Children jar set up in the office and donate to a real cause. I will post our reminders of why we sought the help of the OAG several years ago in order to stop the activities of certain Board members who were destroying our Community....thank goodness we had people willing to step up and do the hard work to help them build their case. I will post several bits of evidence for our newbie Board members since they were not here when all this was occurring. It was a tough time to be living at The Harbours....its not perfect today....I dont think anyone expected Utopia when they bought here....but they didnt expect a Devils Advocate to rule us either. Just some reminders to read and pictures to observe....the reason WE (The Harbours Forum Group) is here today and still strong in our beliefs. I will spend another day boxing up all the evidence that has been subpoenaed (again) concerning the OAG case and The Harbours past (and present) Board members .... Cullottas office must have a whole lot of our insurance money left in the coffers.
