We are a Medical High School located in Izmir, the third biggest city of Turkey situated on the west coast of the country. We have 203 students between the ages of 15-18 who are receiving medical education in the fields of nursery, emergency Medical services and Anesthesia and Reanimation. Our graduates can become nurses, health officers etc in hospitals all around the world after receiving their degree. Despite the fact that there are many medical high schools in Turkey, what makes us different is the new application that we have started using in our school which we call “Smart Virtual Training Application Rooms”. These are classrooms transformed into virtual medical rooms with models and simulation supported applications and they include an injection application room, anesthesia room, Intensive care room and First aid application room. Our students receive their practical studies in these simulation rooms and they learn by living. In relation with the above mentioned project which we have activated in our school for a while, we would like to work with schools and/or institutions with similar experiences and backgrounds to share our good practices and to improve our experiences in the field of medical training. During our project, we would like to transfer our experiences with simulation supported training to similar institutions who would like implement similar applications and enhance our know-how on practical side of medical education.
