We are appealing for information after a man was critically injured in a road traffic collision involving a refuse collection lorry in Norton. It occurred shortly after 1pm on Friday 7 November 2014, on Riverside View, Norton. As a result of the incident the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough where he remains in a critical condition. Traffic Constable Gareth Gilleard, of the Forces Roads Policing Group, said: If you witnessed the collision I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away, as you may have information which could help this enquiry. Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Gareth Gilleard. Alternatively, information can be emailed to [email protected].
