We are aware of and are working to fix issues related to slow network connections on our wired residence network (Reznet). If you were using Reznet, you may have experienced a very poor connection speed, which has been especially noticeable during the peak hours of 5:00pm to 10:00pm. This problem has been occurring since the beginning of the semester and occurred due to a substantial increase in the amount of new traffic on the network as a result of the addition of 250+ students to the Residence network in Mt. Blakiston. We have now upgraded the core infrastructure to accommodate the increased load on the Reznet network and will soon be implementing some new controls to monitor and mitigate bandwidth intensive traffic.
