We are broken hearted tonight. Mittens babies did not survive. They had already passed by the time we got her into surgery. Mittens is doing very well and didnt have any trouble with the surgery. We speculate what happened was that there was one baby that was double over blocking the birth canal. That baby probably passed first and just kept blocking the way out for the others who passed away later. There were four or five babies, and one or two were in odd positions on the X-rays that made us very weary of their survival. Mittens would have been septic by tomorrow if we hadnt of done the surgery this evening. Thank you to the staff at ACC that stayed after hours to help and for saving Mittens life!
