We are corrupt as SA citizens if we dare to minimize the importance of education, integrity and honesty to accommodate the likes of Pallo Jordaans and Hlaudi Motshoenengs. We are corrupt if we dare to utter with our mouths that his contribution to the liberation struggle, his intelligence and his great work make up for, and cover his fake qualifications. We are corrupt as a Country if we continue to promote a culture that suggests you dont have to be educated to be powerful and influential, and in turn send a message that condones lies, and sloppiness in our education system by saying this is proof that you can be great even without education.... This is wrong We can not afford to be two-faced about Corruption and Education. We either value education and ensure that it is prioritized and held high in society, in workplaces and in our National and Provincial Legislatures or we simply declare that we are anti-academics, anti-economical growth, and perhaps tolerate corruption; and when we speak of corruption, we must be sure to apply it at all levels of society- just like we consider the faking of identity documents, licences, etc, we must be sure to declare the faking of academic qualifications by Senior Citizens and Officials (which is trending in our Govt officials) as a corrupt exercise, regardless of who it is, and what they have done for SA- they have been operating under a false identity, and thats fraud- full stop. #MyView........... as we wait for Dr Jordaans response.
