We are currently accepting job applications for the following positions at the Evansville ARC Training Center: CONNECTIONS FOR LIFE/PARTICIPANT ASSISTANCE & CARE: Full-time position, working out in the community. Hours for this position can vary based on the needs of the agency. The qualified candidate will assist individuals with disabilities in achieving goals of increased independence, assist with daily living skills, planning and implementing agency and community based training programs. High School diploma or GED required. Experience with individuals with MR/DD or related population is preferred. A CNA, QMA or a Teacher’s Assistance background in special education is helpful. Qualified candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and reliable transportation. PROGRAM COORDINATOR: Monday - Friday, approximately 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Training Center. The qualified candidate will assist with all day to day aspects of the Day Service Program, including: maintaining records, conducting agency & department orientation, working with clients in small groups, one-on-one, assisting in job training, personal/vocational goals, and community integration and overseeing approximately 35 clients and six staff. The successful candidate must posses a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, possess excellent verbal/written communication skills, flexibility, the ability to teach/train and work closely with families and outside agencies, and be able to regularly lift & move 50 pounds.
