We are delighted to announce a new photography competition for all amateur photographers. The charity is, for the first time, releasing Christmas Cards, and are looking for unique and stylish images of Derry ~ Londonderry and surrounding areas to include on them. With the increase of camera phones, the abundance of beautifully captured images of the city and the river Foyle are displayed daily on many social media sites, many of which are taken by amateur photographers and also those with no background in photography, we would love all these people to enter! The competition will be judged two PANNI award winning local photographers - Audrey Kelly of C2 Photography and Design and Mustafa Oymak of Yez Lifestyle Photography. These fresh, innovative photographers will use their vast experience to choose three images for our cards. These will be used, along with an image from each of our judges, to produce beautiful Christmas cards. To enter, we require a unique photograph, preferably a winter image, suitable for use on a Christmas card. Suggestions include the River Foyle, other interesting and lesser known parts of the city and the villages and townlands along the river. The image should be a JPEG with a maximum of 900 pixels on the longest side and suitable for high res printing on a5 card. You must have the rights to use the photograph and you agree to Foyle Search and Rescue reserving the right to print the image on its Christmas cards. Please note, short listed entries will be required to submit a full size copy of their photograph, suitable for printing. All entries should be named and the location of the photograph given.
