We are delighted to welcome the newest member of our team, Celia Hodson! Celia qualified as a physiotherapist in 1975 from the Prince of Wales school of Physiotherapy, London. She gained her general experience in London and Croydon before moving to Hong Kong in 1978. Whilst raising three children, she worked at the Matilda Hospital, igniting her interest in the field of Women’s Health Physiotherapy. Celia has completed various post-graduate courses in this area including the assessment and treatment of bladder and bowel conditions. Celia also completed the APPI Pilates course in Women’s Health, which focuses on re-educating all the muscles in the lumbo-pelvic area. This ties seamlessly into the current Pilates treatments at Posture Plus. For the last 13 years, Celia has been the Women’s Health Physiotherapist for the Island of Guernsey, treating a wide range of obstetric, gynaecological and continence conditions. She uses various treatment tools, including biofeedback and neuromuscular stimulation, and myofascial release techniques. Celia’s mission is to bring her Women’s Health specialist experience to the women of Hong Kong who are suffering from Obstetric, Gynaecological or Continence issues, thereby improving their quality of life.
